Yabane Cowl - designed by Keiko Kikuno
“Yabane” is a Japanese traditional pattern. This pattern takes inspiration from the feathered part of an arrow. In Japan, an arrow is a symbol of keeping evil spirits away, so this pattern has been popular as a good luck charm for a long time.
The cowl is knitted in the round from the bottom up, starting with 2x2 ribs in Main Colour then Chevron pattern in alternating two colours followed by 2x2 ribs in Main Colour.
